I don't buy any wax, car wash soap, microfiber towels or leather cleaner if it's sold at a Autozone, etc. For the price we pay on these cars I like to spend a little more and find that the quality is better. My $.02.

Thanks for all the replys.

If I choose to use a product that is a two part process (cleaner, then conditioner) should I use the cleaner even on new leather? Just got mine last Saturday and I am thinking just using the conditioner only for first time. Thanks.

I always use the cleaner, because the goal is to get small particles of dirt out and thus make the leather last longer.

Over time, the leather dries out, and conditioner restores and replaces the necessary oils that keep the leather supple. You don't need conditioner every time; over use of it isn't good either.

So I would use the cleaner, but I wouldn't put conditioner on new leather, it isn't required.

I used Leatherique (both cleaner and conditioner) every 3 months for 9 years on my '01 e53 and did it from day when it was new. Never damaged it or did anything negative. You can really see how much dirt accumulates just over a 3 month time period--and I am single (with a dog) so not many passengers.
