Stereo Volume adjustment?

I like my music turned up pretty high but I noticed that there is a regulator (I'm assuming) on how high the volume goes? Any idea of how/if I could change that?

Again, I'm not sure about this? I just feel that my older X5 and my wifes X3 goes up all the way. When I say up all the way, I mean until it distorts loud. lol

Any thought or ideas would be great.

I know someone is going to say, "change out your speakers and add an amp"! I don't want to do that. I all ready added a 10" sub and it sounds great. Just not loud enoght volume wise!!

I have the same complaint with my 2010 (base saound system). Max volume isn't even close to being loud. I don't knopw about the 2011 but the 2011 only has 4 speakers. We had a 2007 X3 before this and teh base system was great.

Sound Level 2011

I had an '09 and now an '11 with the standard sound system. The '09 volume level was a lot louder than the '11 is. Probably a safety specification.

I personally would prefer to be able to make my ears ring. That is rock 'n roll.

TTT

The OP never received an answer, nor I to this issue, so I thought I would bring it back up. Can the volume on base audio system be increase by some setting adjustment via computer? Cranking the volume to max not even loud enough compared to our 2009.

If I understand your question correctly, you ask about Sound level regulator on Idrive menu. The purpose of this is to adjust volume level depending on either the car parked or moving and noise outside of the car. The more level of this - more volume will be when a noise detected. This regulator actually has nothing to do with maximum volume level of your audio system ( at least it is not noticeable)
I hope it helped.

P.S. I like it loud too, but I have premium sound system and it seems like enough.
