Just received our anniversary gift. A sketch of the X5. Evidently a fine addition to any BMW enthusiast's collection. My son got excited. He is 11! Nice gesture though. Here is quick shot of it.

Got the same carbon fibre pen for my second year on the X as well...buddy got one for his 2nd year 535...

I got one. Thought it was kind of lame actually. Wife thought it was 'cute'.

Haha...not, the print in the frame thing.

I thought it lame as it only has value to a small sector of owners... there are other items that all owners would use- but displaying a stylized print seemed presumptuous of BMW. Although definitely low cost.....

Agreed, how much more could a small Bmw flashlight for the glovebox have cost?

I just got my pen for the second year a couple of weeks ago.

Are there are many gifts after year 2 or do they expect you to buy a new car for another pen?

I got a black BMW logo fleece blanket and some 10 disk DVD with all these BMW short films and other crap. for my 1 year when I bought my 07 X5. Actually it is really nice.
