This is exactly what BMW needs, another SUV, crossover, GT, etc.

Is it not scary to anyone else that BMW will soon make more trucks than cars? I like our X5, but one or two options for SUV's is all a company like BMW should focus on, imo. Leave the babycarriers to MB, Audi, Chevy, etc. BMW should not cater to every single market out there.

^ they're changing with the times... they are putting 4cyl turbos in their cars, they are going FWD, they put an M on a fat pig. It's all going to happen. There already has been much head-shaking. But there is still going to be money made (yes, I know). Not sure why they would stop here unless 1) there's really not a market for it or 2) it will drive like s#!t.

Personally I can't wait for a 2 door convertible version of the X5, now that's gonna be hot!

You think BMW needs to compete with this?

I can handle some change. Like 1-3 trucks from a predominantly car focused company, but as many or more trucks than cars just flat out bothers me. Not only that, but they are creating needless truck segments. Sometimes change isn't good.

Not so much the Bronco (I would LOVE an original bronco in good condition)

But more of competition for Range Rovers, who have always bested BMW in the off-road segment, even when BMW owned them.

I would love to see BMW's take an the people mover / minivan. Closer to an RL than a GL.

The basic design of the minivan is extremely practical for families and groups. Give it the BMW touch in the chassis, design, luxury and technology departments and you would have a very respectable vehicle.

I can see why the SUV is sacrilegious to a car company but I own a 2011 X5 50 and a 2004 545. Yes we are talking 6 years difference but I can hustle that x5 with just as much confidence and response as my 545. I said this many years ago that my 545 is like a 740. In about 10 years we will have a 0 series to replace the 1 series which will replace the 3 series which will replace the 5 series which will replace the 7 series which will replace the 9 series ect.... I am pretty sure my grandkids will be driving in my funeral precession in a 11 series. hahaha

I mean the double stroller takes up half the trunk already and it actually folds in half (the Combi).

It would really depend on how the X7 looks and drives. I don't want a Q7 wagon type. May as well go minivan then.
Completely agree with everything you said, especially the double stroller. I actually wanted the 3rd row as I was thinking when they eventualy are able to fasten themselves in that I would put their seats in the very back. However, not sure that is about to happen as I am installing screens for the middle row.
