Help: 2011 X5 e70 M Sport pkg., Roof Rail Removal?

I tried searching but didn't come up with what I was looking for so here goes...

I'm trying to completely black out my Black Sapphire X5 50i w/ M Sport Package. I have already tinted the two front side windows 35% to try and match the rears. I have also ordered the Black Grilles and the Black Roof Rails from the X5m. One side of the Grille came in, the other is (supposedly) on backorder. The Roof Rails are in (at the dealership), but I have not picked them up yet. My question is... How do I remove the Brushed Aluminum Roof Rails from my X5? I don't see any mounting points anywhere. They look to be completely smooth.

Thanks in advance for the help!
-Jeff

You need to remove the headliner. Then you can remove the roof rails.

Not exactly the the answer I was hoping for but thanks! Any "How To's" on how to remove the headliner? Does it have to completely come down or just loosened up on the sides?

My e70 rails rusted, I left the car into a bodyshop and they took off the rear segments, treated and sprayed them. They now look like new.

The headliner had to be removed, I think they just dropped it down in the corners as they went along. It didn't cost much or take long.
