2011 X5 35d arrived!

After going back and forth between a 535xi, 335d, and an X5 35d, I ordered the latter on October 18. I picked it up last night, which was about 2 weeks earlier than I was expecting. I've only driven it home from the dealership and then to work this morning, but it's amazing.

I took a few pictures in the driveway this morning as I know how much people hate "new car" threads that don't have them. They're not the best, but I'll try to get some better ones soon. It's Space Gray with the Cinammon Brown interior and Dark Bamboo wood. As others have noted, pictures don't really do this color interior justice.

Packages include Premium, Technology, Sport Activity, Rear Climate, Cold Weather, and Premium Sound. Options include Multi-Contour Seats, Comfort Access, and Roof Rails. We managed to get $1000 over invoice plus the $3500 Eco Credit + $2500 Holiday Credit, so we're very happy with the deal. I traded my 2007 e92 335i, and while I may miss the insane acceleration that the car was capable of, I expect the X5 to be better in most situations.

This is my second X5, the first being a 2001 3.0 that I didn't keep for very long. While it was a good vehicle, it was too small in the cargo area to satisfy my need to haul stuff every now and then. The e70 isn't huge inside, but it does have enough room when needed.

For those wondering, it has the "normal" non-LED headlights. I have some GP Thunders that I'll put in soon. The iPhone integration works great with my iPhone 4, and so far the iDrive, etc. are great.
