USB port / power ?

okay, so i recently became the second owner of a 2008 4.8i X5 - love it.

I have a question - i like that i can dump a ton of MP3's on a USB - but my question is that after i turn off the vehicle, the tiny LED on my USB stays lit - so have others had any issues leaving the USB connected over several days? i know the power draw is minimal, but my car stays parked at the airport for 3,4,5 days at a time - looking for experiences here, i don't want to experiment and find out the hard way....

thanks.,

I dont think that is correct.. the car still provides power for the fist 15-30mins after the car has been switched off and the key has been taken out.

After that it switches off. Same thing for all bmws from my knowledge
