Used X5 Pricing?? How low can you go?
I'm seeing a lot of Invoice pricing on the new 3.5i models around $45700. I'm also seeing 2008 and 2007 models for the 3.0si anywhere from $34K to 41K. Now I know negotiation comes into play, and options, wear and tear, amount of inventory etc, however... For those of you that purchase used, 2007 or 2008, heck, even 2009's, what kind of pricing were you able to negotiate? I'm trying to get an idea on how bold to be when negotiating either used or new. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. |

It all depends on many things like options and condition, but I usually look at auction prices and just add 1 grand to it. Everything else depends on your desire to buy that particular vehicle.

Fisrt, you have to start with your options. Do you want premium, comfort access, sport, nav, 3rd row, tech package, rear climate, etc...That's where your price point in going to start.
You have to decide what options and mileage range you're looking for first. Then the average money paid will be a lot easier to figure. |

When I was looking at 2007-8 V8's pricing was 37-40 depending on options - didn't even look at the 3.0, but it doesn't save you much.
On the 2011 35i, invoice of 45k is seriously stripped, nothing on the car and to get any options pretty much, you have to get a premium or SA model, so you looking at 55-60k invoice pricing nicely optioned. |

I was looking for a gently used '11 that was CPO'd. The two below were from non-bmw dealers.
I found one here in Houston. It was a base 35i with just the sunroof and sat radio (if I remember correctly). That was it. Can't remember the mileage, but it was less than 10k. They were asking $45K when I went to see it on a Sat, by Mon it was listed for $43. There was a '11 50i. Only option was the prem pkg. Nothing else. Just shy of 9k miles. Jet black over black. They were asking $50k. Ended up ordering a new 35d. |

My '01 e53 was totaled Labor Day weekend so I picked up off of lease at Beverly Hills BMW an '08 4.8 CPO with just 16K miles in Sept for $48k (MSRP 2 years ago was $75K)
