Indy doing Coding?
I bought a BMW Sirius Receiver for my E70 / 2007 X5 and will likely need coding. Would prefer not to have to pay for 3 hours of coding at the $tealer.

No many, but there are definitely indy's around that will do coding, just not a lot of them, there is a guy in Poland that can do it remotely, but he is hard to get as he is pretty busy, and a shop on the west coast that can do it and does trips to NYC once in a while to do coding sessions.
There are also a bunch of guys on the 5series.net forum that have figured out how to do it themselves with a $100 ebay cable and a lot of patience. Here is the thread about it over on E90post - ordered a cable myself just to see if I can at least read the car and figure a few things out for fun (or massively screw it up in the process - we will see!) Sounds like huge potential, regarding the coding. I'd love to do it for our Bimmers, but I know these modules can get messed up pretty badly too......dealers do it too. Still, with good instructions, it may be worth a shot.

There are a lot of people that seem to be having success doing it, would be so nice to be able to make these adjustments at home whenever I wanted!
