Blank Nav srceen e70

Hi, anyone had this problem, searched the forum but there's only for e53. Everything works , radio, PDC...but the screen is black. Happened few times but resolved it with restart, but now that doesn't hepl anymore. And it happens mostly in winter time..

Happened to my e70 2 days ago when it got a few degrees below freezing. Restart fixed it but only after a few tries wen the car was warmed up properly.

It used to happen to my e65 too whenever it got very cold. Dealer was not able to fix it. They put in a new screen and it happened again.

I figure it's probably something to do with the "liquid" in the display getting too cold.

if you put a flashlight up to it, do you see it still functioning? I had this problem intermittently and finally after 2 years it went out permanently. This was back in September so it wasn't even that cold yet. My dealer had to replace the screen itself.

You should still be under warranty no? I know you're in Europe, but isn't it still 4 years?

I don't know how much as mine is warrantied till 2012. Is yours an '08 model built around January '08? I know of one other around that time who had the same issue... maybe a bad batch.

I had the same problem with my 09. The dealer never figured it out and I traded mine for a Lexus GX 460 Premium.

For starters, it's more fugly than the rotten wart on grandma's toe. Secondly, you feel like you are driving a car with suspension bits made with marshmallows. Don't hate me for posting my honest opinion. Good day mate.
