Why wouldn't it be covered, its not the stress points (you can see the leather is not cracked in those locations).

Just try it out... i mean they replaced the peeling steering wheels!

it looks like you spilled something on it.. my mom had a car a couple years back that she spilled nail polish remover on the leather seat. looked sort of like that

waiting on my next service date to have it looked at. hope dealer will replace it. others have mentioned that the dealer had replaced theirs with the same problems.

Hi OP, have you had any luck getting it replaced under warranty from your dealer?

Mine has similar issue and it's on the from passenger seat. My car is less than 6 months old and the front passenger seat is rarely used.

Very odd looking damage. The pattern of it doesn't look like wear-n-tear though. Probably defective. My Imola Red interior on my M3 had a weird fold and burn on the driver's seat. Car was over a year old, took it in as warranty and they had it taken care of.
