Better rear turn signals for the E70?

After having both a 2007 & 2008 E70, I was very surprised (and disappointed) to see that my 2011 X5 still uses a cheap (and very American car looking) red bulb for the rear turn signals. BMW has added LED rear signals to the 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series.....

Is there an LED bulb, or an brighter amber/orange bulb that will just plug & play (no fault codes) for the 2010/2011 E70? I kind of really hate the red bulb for our rear turn signals. They are not visible in bright light, and they remind me of an old Ford Ltd or something. Ick!!
