Personally i wouldnt mess with it....i think it's good to have more backpressure for low end and less for high rpm...e.g. dynamic exhaust flow...and dont really see any downside to the design...and it may key to that wonderful torque curve the 35i's have...

there is a reason why they closed on the 35i. are you guys now experiencing any "LAG" on your 35i?

why buy an expensive vehicle like this and start screwing with the exhaust just because it doesn't come out of both pipes at first? Modding is one thing but putting a golf tee in a line?

use manual shift, and shift gears above 4000rpm you will have both pipe working

btw, many people paid to add exhaust bypass valve mod into their car. since we already have it and these bimmers owner trying to "golf-tee" them
