It's an option, and one I didn't go for. I guess if a dealership had ever had one to try I might have been hooked, but it seems to be a rare option for the ones on the lot.

I have a '08 3.0si model with a 18" wheels and stock suspension and I always wondered what the club/pro racers thought of handling of basic X5 models.

I think it handles great for an SUV/SAV!

Mine has Adaptive and I wouldn't want to do without. To be fair it's my fourth and all thee of the previous has sport suspension so to me there's no going back.
