Pics of a clean Jet Black 11' X5d

Some pics of my JB X5D after she was washed and waxed. I plan to Zaino after Xmas.

Very nice......

If I lived in FL I might get a JB vehicle again -- no way could I do it living in the snow-belt!

I'm a big Zaino fan too...I just can't imagine how long it would take on a vehicle the size of an X5. Used to take me almost a full day on my little M3 cabriolet!

Looks great...and like you may have some free time...let me know I need a hand doing mine!

Problem down here is the heat...I could never keep enough wax on my black cars, it literally cooked off of them in the summer...

I have always had black, and this is my first white car, and now i'm hooked....get's dirty just as fast as black, but I have become hideously lazy and even taken it through a car wash in an emergency...nice thing is, no "visible" swirls (I can see them, but not from three feet away)...the negative is I can see all the dirt in the paint, and just don't have the time to get the clay bar, polish and wax out.....

Still on the fence with Zaino..i just love to see all the water bead up on my vehicle so i stick with good old Carnuba....

It's very evident we have a love hate for Black. I have a white Odyssey and so another white car was out of the equation. I've never had wax melt off any of my previous black cars. I keep my cars garaged and wash weekly wax every 6 months. I'll post a detailed report on my Zaino adventures after Xmas.

Beautiful! I've always said not much looks better than a clean, shiny jet black car. Also, nothing gets faster and becomes the most unshiny car faster! LOL

If it weren't for my OCD, I would get black

Your car looks awesome!!! Thanks for taking the time to upload pictures and share with us!!

Congrats from a fellow Jet Black owner (and had it on my '01 X5). I actually prefer p21s on Jet Black over Zaino--it has more clarity since it's a carnauba vs. Zaino which is a polymer (that works well with the metallics).
