I just brought attached SIB. Service advisor was arguing, he even showed me maintenance record with updated software version. Finally he said leave the car and we will drive and see what's the problem. I left the car at 9AM and it was ready by 5PM. There are many posts on E70 forum about this, some people say it doesn't help much, some people report improvements. Just search for "software update" or "transmission update".
I'm still watching it, some people say that update is not working after 1-2 weeks.

My X5 (07 4.8i) was 8 revisions behind in software updates. Once they updated it (took about 4.5 hours) many little issues went away. The systems are so complex (software wise) it is amazing. My MPG's went up and the tranny was much better with regards to shifting.

E60 550i's also suffer from the same issues. I had mine sorted out by the dealer but the acceleration will never be as smooth as your previous M3.

In my E60, I installed a Sprint Booster and I really liked the results.

Thanks for all the quick responses. Will have this in shop Friday for software update. Any advice on how to reboot idrive? I dont have nav and the three button reboot identified on the forum doesnt work if you just press mute and eject, there must be some other combination. I have had the care less than 5 days and idrive locks up for 15 to 20 minutes repeatedly where I can turn the wheel but pushing down on the dial does nada?

Downshift is much better as well as acceleration from stop. However, have intermittent jump / skip when doing a rolling acceleration? Neck jerking. Dealer said give it a few hundred miles to learn my driving, which I have done still there. I also notice a pulsing acceleration when at high speeds on high way when accelerating. It as if I can feel the injectors lightly pulsing on off on off. I know they are constant, but you can definitely feel a slight pulsing action when accelerating aggressively on open road. Any ideas?

I had the same issue after flash. The girl that flashed me wasn't cute enough....

But it did seem to get better with time. Give it the time then see where you are at. I know there was a newer version released a month ago and they have to update their servers with it. They may not have done it yet, mine hadnt. Just sayin.
