Wondering whether you are buying a US model or not? If it is for back home, and is a US model, then I presume you would get a 2011 since the diesels are said to not be changing until later in the year. If it is not a North American model, then the games that BMWNA is playing probably won't matter; Some countries don't allow this arbitrary renaming of years and simply go by the production date to determine the year.
