Running board retro
So yesterday, it was 2 degrees celcius (instead of the -20 celcius the day before), and I took the opportunity to install running boards and the wheel arches I purchased over christmas on my '09 35D. I did it so my 4 1/2 year old can climb into the back without my assistance.
I can already tell you my dry cleaner will be richer this year than last. I hate the damned boards. I can't get out of the car without my pants leg rubbing on it. :p My other observation is that they 19" wheels with snow tires look skinny with the wheels arches installed. I miss my 20s, can't wait for it to warm up to put them back on.Overall, it was not a hard task. Took me about 2 1/2 hours to swap out everything in my garage. <edit> To anyone wanting the parts to remove their running boards, you can have my stock support pieces and the cover for free. Just PM me where to pick it up.
