chrgosselin is on a distinguished road
Called my sales guy this morning with the news that I wouldn't accept this vehicle. He called back in the afternoon along with the sales manager and the service manager and they tried very hard to convince me that an engine replacement was a pretty standard operation and that I shouldn't worry about it.

I asked them, since they were so sure, if they were willing to extend the warranty to 6 years free of charge but they declined. I basically had to trust their word (yeah right!).

So I told my SG to find another 2011 X5 50i with the same equipment or order a new one from the factory but, apparently, 2011 models can no longer be ordered. I am willing to wait so I might end up with a 2012 (corona rings maybe!).

Thanks again for your comments. I will keep you posted as the story develops!
