Now I WANT a Titanium Silver E70!! On the last model (E53) X5, all you saw was Black and Silver. It seems on the E70, white is very popular, with of course black and sapphire black as well. I think I have maybe seen 1 or 2 Titanium Silver E70s since 2007!

The Silver looks AMAZING on your car. I love it. Now it makes me not love my Alpine White as much, after seeing your Silver

Not to change subject of the OP--but here was my '01 this past Labor Day--I was t-boned on the right side, it hit the pavement on it's left side, bounced clear over to the right and landed right side. I walked away with a scraped elbow (from the glass that was underneath me as I was suspended in mid air by the seatbelt). This was the 2nd major collision I was in with it--walked away from the 1st one as well.

WOW!! Did they total it, after this, the 2nd accident? If the first collision was major, why didn't it get totaled? I worry that structural integrity is compromised after an accident (unless the damage is just bumpers or cosmetic).

The E53 is and was a GREAT SAV!!!!

It was close to getting totaled the 1st time--I had about $20K in repairs and the KBB was $27K at the time. I also filed a Diminished Value claim and got a check for $6K for it. And the body shop is really good and said they can fix it (there was no frame rail damage since I got hit in the engine compartment)--they did and it was rock solid after-- 4.5 years late and hit again. This time as you can see--was not fixable. I got a check for $14K for mine from the accident.

Trainer - do you have any more pics?

Your photos are making me very seriously consider changing my color combo!

We have an '11 Space Grey which I really love. For instance, I just got back after a week of traveling and wifey had to drive it in the rain. Not only that, but the school shares the same road as the dump so it's mud + rain.

Oddly, when she picked me up at the airport I didn't even realize it was dirty at all until 3 feet from it.

Secondly, since EPA has forced changes in painting, USA-built cars are not getting nearly as smooth a color coat. The "pebbled" result (similar to orange peel) is most prominent in blacks.

Attached are some bad pics I took while playing with temporary pin strips.

Wow - absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks to Nynd and Trainer, I called the dealer and changed the color combo to Titanium Silver / Black Nevada Leather (previously Jet Black / Cinnamon Brown). I think the fact there aren't as many silver E70's out there makes me want it even more!

Thanks all for the help!
