Congrats Kloogy.....BUT I love the look of the silver twin kidney grills that the 3.5i Premium, 35d and 5.0i have. When an X5 (or any BMW for that matter) is behind me & the car has black kidney grills...it just looks like they are missing The silver grills come on the more "exclusive" models, because they set the car apart, and look very aggressive. The silver really exxagerates the front end of the car, and makes it look mean and very badass!!!

But, to each is own. I just feel you killed the look and aggreession of your beautiful X5 ;(

I didn't have the Titanium ones. I had the black with chrome. I like the BMW performance ones because the outline of them is glossy black, not just flat black ABS.

I too like the contrast of the all black performance grills on a white X5.

If you like them, then that is all that matters! Your X5 is beautiful, and if these new grilles make you like it more...then

Sadly I have to agree. I have the chrome / black set and bought these gloss black performance ones online for $120. Luckily, they shipped me the ones I already have, I returned them and just before I did the reorder, I realized it would look like the grille is missing, esp on a black car. So I stuck to what I have and cannot be happier. But if they make cloogie happy then that's all that matters. So kluugy, seems like you are blackening out your sapphire black piece by piece, what's next?!

+1

I also don't get it when people have blacked out wheels with their Black X5. It almost looks like they're trying to be invisible (kind of).

However, I'm curious how glossy black kidney grills would look on a white or silver E70...
