I am planning to replace my headlight bulbs. Does it require bumper/headlight assembly removal? Any guides?

In my manual it shows replacement of headlights without removal of bumper. Check your manual.

As for other in the light bulb question. As you saw. I post X5 for 2009 w/ HID. If you want another vehicle go to the above address and search for specific model and year.
Please use it as a reference. Also many bulbs like the 2825 are very similar to the common 194.

The 2011s definitely have different rear lights and therefore bulbs. I found out the hard way when going to replace a brake light bulb that blew out after two weeks of ownership.

Which part of the manual did you find it? I went to the bulb replacement page and all it only mention that the replacement is recommended to be performed by BMW. Any pictures or illustrations that anyone can share?
