Need a bit of help

Hi wonder if anyone can help
I opened my car last night all fine went to start the car and everything went off no lights nothing thought it could be the battery so climbed through and released the trunk , went to take the cover off the battery and every came back on , went to start the car and it tells me 4x4 and dsc failure . All the lights work and its starts fine just left with the message .
Just wondered what people think it could be or if it has happened to anyone?
