I need protection!

I'm often driving into NYC and have to park in lots and such. Now my current car as been scratched, bumped, and rubbed. This wouldn't be good if it happens to my new X5. I'm looking at picking up some good bumper protection. Does anyone here have a set they like, or can recommend certain ones that are well designed and large enough to cover the X?

Thanx!

if you have running boards i'd say it prevents standard sedans from knocking your doors 80% of the time as their door hits the running board first..

just a fact i'd throw out there

NYC?

Why bother? people there have zero respect for cars...any 'bumper guards' are decorative and barely functional...and people will just whack those into the paint. Then you drive around with goofy bumper guards that are crooked.

No No you don't drive with them at all. I'm talking about the rubber padded ones that will cover your bumpers. This is for parking garages and lots and such. When you pull into the garage you put the covers on when you pick it up you take off and throw it into the trunk. I see all the Porsche's, Ferrari's, and other high end cars use them.

Oh. And I thought I had seen everything....

Why not drive a beater in the city and leave the nice car at home?

(Can you tell I didn't live in the city? )

I've driven my friends X5 in the city. But I only parked it in garages. I did see a lot of cars with those bumper guards. Looks ridiculous, but I would surely use them.

I've seen these at my local BMW dealer (JMK in springfield) - they had one for X5...
