What is your reason for looking for a different exhaust? Sound, looks, performance or all?

At this point just sound/cosmetic really, since if my goal was to change it for performance i'm sure i'd be pretty disappointed since changing out the catback wouldn't really help much..and this is just from experience from my 335. Besides i have a jbd that's waiting to be installed, so performance part is semi covered since there's not much else offered for the d.

YouTube - BMW X5 Diesel Sportauspuff Exhaust Extrem Sound

This sounds pretty crazy, but I'm curious if it would drone at highway speeds. I know eisenmann is doing X5 and X6 diesel exhausts.

Cheers,

Just got back with Nate from, there's an exhaust for the 3.0 but it doesn't sound good on a 3.5. They're hoping to get started on the 3.5 later.

Your tractor will just sound more like a tractor with louder exhaust. Of all the things that are appealing about a diesel, generally the sound out of the exhaust isn't one of those things and most people are looking to hear it less not more, probably why you don't really see much for diesel exhaust (except for redneck diesel pickups!)

Pre-LCI Dual Exhaust Tips for E70 X5

If you have a pre-LCI E70, I've been working on a dual stainless exhaust tip offering for the car. I've attached some pictures of the how they turned out on the car. I'm totally pleased with the finished product. A distinctive difference and huge improvement over the stock tips.

I will probably do a lower price initially in getting the project off the ground. PM me if interested.

LCI???

I have 2010 35d and would be interested if the definition of LCI doesn't rule me out. Sorry for my ignorance - I've seen the term, but doesn't register right off the bat .
