Any ex Range Rover Sport Supercharged Owners?

Hi ... are there any ex Range Rover Sport Supercharged Owners here?

I have a 2005 RRS Supercharged with Overfinch upgrades .... love the car to bits but the 14 mpg beginning to bite ...

Looking at moving to the 3.5ds M Sport but would welcome any feedback from others who have made similar move?

I had a 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged - zermatt silver with black interior. convenience package.... I had a few upgrades including the HST body kit including the rear wing.... I happily traded it in after 6 months for my 2007 black on black X5 4.8i..... Absolutely no regrets... the options, handling, technology, comfort and BMW-service do not even compare.....

I had an '06 RRS SC, Buck Blue/Blk and loved it. IMO it's a mistake to compare the RRS to the X5 if you actually use the off-road capabilities of the RRS. If you don't, then gas will definitely be better with the d, and the rest is personal preference.

For what it's worth, I love the on-road performance of the X, the tech is much better, the service is better, but I'd rather have an RRS for the trips to the mountains and the desert.

Thanks ... I never use the offroad capabilities ... and in all fairness with low profile 22" Overfinch alloys not much capability anyway

But I do love Range Rovers ... this is my 5th ....

As Jeremy Clarkson said, having a RR in the UK just makes zero sense with the price of petrol.

Go for the diesel X5, they are really nice cars and the MPG is great!

I had an 08 and I loved it. The service I received from Land Rover has been 10 times better than BMW but I'm sure that has to do with the volume of cars that the dealers have to handle. I temporarily switched to the X5 due to family planning and the third row. You wouldn't be settling with either cars, but they are very different cars. I hope to get another Range Rover Sport Supercharged ASAP!
Of course, I'm biased because my RRSS saved my life from a drunk driver.
(The interior in the new Sports is absolutely gorgeous!)

I had a 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged and a 2008 Full Size Range Rover. Currently, we have a 2011 Full Size Supercharged Range Rover.

I hated my Supercharged Sport. Nightmare problems, and the interior materials were horrible. 2008 Full size was much better, but then again...the Full Size Range Rover is a proper Rover, not based on the LR3/LR4 like the Sport is.

The 2011 Supercharged Range Rover we have is AMAZING though!

But between a Range Rover Sport and an E70...I'd take the E70 anyday!!

BUT....the interior in the new Range Rover Sport model is BEAUTIFUL, and so well done. It is, I hate to admit, a lot nicer than the E70!!

I agree with the above. I went back and forth on an '11 RR Sport SC with the piano black, alcantara interior vs. the X5. I loved the RR and it was just beautiful. The vehicle was so fun to drive as well and looked cool, but I just couldn't stomach the 12/17 gas mileage with my commute. The cost of fuel would have been 50+% more and the sticker price was about $12000 more as well. I do really like my X5 and know it was the right decision but the kid in me still wishes for the RR Sport SC with 510hp and going over their obstacle course at 45-60 degree angles!

I chose between my 5.0i m-sport and the '11 RR Sport SC. I never got to drive the SC, but I did drive a Lux. I really liked the Sport, the ride, handling was good for a truck, visibility, all that. The dealership though was tough to work with, didn't call when they had an SC to look at (as they said they would), and generally were pretty elitist. That was Landrover of Bellevue in Bellevue, WA. I could still see owning one someday though, I thought it was great.

On the other hand, I very much like my X5. If I could own both, I might :-)

I traded my 06 Supercharged Full size RR on a 07 4.8 X5. I like everything about the X5 better other than the fact that there are X5's everywhere. The RR's are not as common so the wow factor was a little higher. There may be a reason for that due to the problems that RR's have. It took forever to get parts in to the dealership for the RR's.
