Introducing myself! got a new 2011 x5 deep sea blue

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking on this site for awhile and thought I might as well participate too.

I picked up a 2011 Deep sea blue x5 35i on Jan 5, 2011. I only could afford the Premium trim, opted for the tech package, convenience package and running boards. I would love to add 22 inch rims and fender flares, but since my newborn daughter came on Feb 5, 2011, I don't think I will be modding my beemer anytime soon. But the 35i drives like a dream, and since this is my first beemer, it is definately going to be washed and waxed monthly!

When I ever get the chance away from diaper duty, I'll try to post some pics. These pics kinda bad, I forgot to adjust the ISO (sorry). More pics to follow

Cheers,
Josh

with a newborn riding you wouldn't want 22" rims, she would bitch slap you as soon as shes old enough for the rough ride she had to endure. LOL.

Thumbs up

Congrats on the car and the baby! We are thinking of the same color combo, I think... My wife wants the oyster interior and I would love to have deep sea blue. Hopefully we can make it work after I show her your pics!

Wink

Thanks for the congrats!

Here is more pics.

Bastula: a pic of the baby seat attachment and the sunshine seat protector in an oyster interior. I actually do worry about it, but I wipe any dirt that shows. Of course the seat protector helps too.

Welcome to Xoutpost and congrats on the car and the baby! I love the Oyster interior but I worry it might get dirty quick with a 5-year-old boy. Thanks for sharing!

Congratulations on many levels! Don't quite know what your talking about when you say you 'only' could get the Premium model... Please...

I actually looked at them all, and while having been a car guy my whole life, I bought the Premium model myself. When I considered that this was going to be our daily driver to work and back, year round in the Chicago area, it just fit perfectly into what we were looking for.

Don't get me wrong here, I LOVE the Sport model with the wide wheels etc... but for the wife and I to drive on a daily basis, this was by far the best choice!

Here's some pics and some others for 'spirited' driving...

I agree with ya, I can't complain about the premium, it serves functionality well, but I love the width of the 20's! Makes the rear look awesome!

Nice 'Vet! I need to get a vehicle for "spirited" driving one day!
