Fluid that drops from the front?

New to me X5 has a lot of fluid dropping from the driver's side front. It is watery with a very slight slick feel. I see what appears to me a drain hole in the under body plastic, so it must be normal?

Most cars I have had that drip from the A/C have dripped less moisture.
Puddle leaves about a 5" round water mark on the ground.
Thinking maybe coolant?

Also how do I check the coolant temp. in this car? No temp gauge, only a warning light?

Thanks.

If it were coolant, you would know. Coolant would either be a lime green or orange color.

I picked up a new-to-me 08 on Saturday and have noticed what you have. It looks like condensation drip from AC, just a lot of it.

Yup.

If you want more instrumentation, you need to buy something like a Ford Focus.

Same here '08 two weeks ago. Water leaves a white residue on the black plastic?

I had a very similar issue when I got my X5. Turns out they overfilled the oil and it dropped into the skid plate and when it was parked on my parent's NEW driveway it leaked out. Needless to say I wasn't pleased....

Yep. I just assumed the compressor and AC tubing is larger and has more parts than my previous coupe.

If it is comming out by the front rocker, there is a good chance that it is the drain tube for the Sunroof. My 5 series has the same but I believe that it is on the passenger side. Next time you wash the car, move it to a dry area and see if you see water coming from that area.
