tire question 275/35/22 all around?
So i'm trying to figure out some new tires on my 2011 X5d
Getting some 22" 215 replicas, 9.5" all around, a couple of questions: 1) I know a 265/35/22 would work, but how about a 275/35 (do they make this size) or 285/35? 2) Does it make sense to run staggered tires sizes even though the wheels are the same size? say 265 front and 295 rear? using some 15-20mm spacers in the rear? or should i stay with the same size tires all around and then use spacers in the rear to fill out the wheel wells? |

295/30/22 is the optimal size to run in a 22" it is almost exact to the factory BMW size:
255/50/19 29.03" 716.5 revs/per mile 295/30/22 28.96" 718.2 revs per mile Only issue that you will encounter is the 295 is a bit wide for only 9.5" rim. Can be done, however will look a tad bubbly on the sidewall. Your best bet may be run the 265/35 all around with a spacer in the rear on 9.5" rim.. 275 and 285 will not work out and can cause some issues. Last edited by icenutz; 04-07-2011 at 09:20 AM. |
