I just priced out a 2012 with the exact same options as my 2011 ride, and the MSRP is about $1000 more than what mine was 2 months ago. I also got the $2500 holiday credit. So overall I save $3500 compare to a 2012 with LED halos. I was angry at first that LED is on the 2012 and not on my 2 months old 2011 but then I saved $3500 compare to the 2012 model. To me I'd rather have the money in my pocket and I can always go with LUX for $250 down the road.

That's ture there is no holiday money on 2012.

Are you sure the math is correct? MSRP on 2012 should be a little less than 2011 for the same configuration.

With the exact packages that I have, it turned out to be $69k ish while my 2011 was $68,225.

You may not count some features which are standard in 2012 but not in 2011

That could be the case, but I just put on the options and packages that I would want if I'm purchasing it today. And it turned out to be more. But I was pretty sure I put in only whatever I have on mine. Oh well, whatever, I already bought the car.

But I say F*ck BMW for shafting us 2011's with halogen halos but what can we do. At least I got the $2500 credit.

My 2011 35d finished production today. I have no buyers' remorse for not waiting 6 more months to get the LED's. All 2011s have halogen and, presumably, all 2012s will have LED.

Don't we WANT them to continue to improve the cars each year? Continue to innovate and develop the products that we all enjoy so much? I don't understand the ire here.

Especially with most people leasing you are going to get a new one anyways in 2-3 years max. If you are in and out of cars that much you are always going to be missing something. I keep my cars 8-9 years--I'm sure there will be other changes--like a new model when I'm still driving mine ha.

I agree, got mine almost 3 weeks ago and I love it........no buyers remorse here. The 35d is an awesome vehicle. Would love LED's but didn't want to wait.

The point is... In the dealer ordering guide, marketing brochures, etc. it states LED Corona rings but were in fact given inferior halogens. Are we crying and losing sleep at about it? No. We were sold something under false pretenses? Yes.
