Jeans staining beige leather..anyone?

FWIW.. The same area (on the left of the driver's seat) gets quite dirty on mine too. Mine's what is it? Sandy beige or whatever? (perforated)

At first I thought "is this ACTUALLY coming apart already?" but no, it's just dirty. The rest of the seats get good use and they're spotless.

The dealer talked me out of nappa seats - said they don't hold up well and most of their customers are not very happy with them. I kind of had to listen because why would someone who makes a living selling me more and more expensive crap tell me not to buy it? I do also like having my fat butt ventilated. That car gets hot.

And yes, I think people with very light interiors are crazy too.

I have oyster, and it looks flawless!! I have a 4 year old with lots of 4 year old friends. Day to day scuffs just wipe off with my hand or a little water. Blue jeans marks come off immediately with some Mother's or Lexol leather cleaner. The 2-tone oyster & black looks, IMO, amazing. For like 15 years, I always got, black, black, black leather. Now with the oyster, I feel the black is so spartan, a little drab and so dark!!

Oyster is SO easy to keep clean. A four year old and lots of friends..and my X5 looks showroom new.

Remember, oyster has black carpets, door panels, black seat panels, etc. etc. I think easier than Sand beige to keep clean. I LOVE the oyster!!!

And black leather with little kids, shows every smudge mark too!!!

Don't you have sand beige? Well, that means you are crazy too!!!

Sand beige has light carpets, door panels, door sills, etc, etc... Oyster/black is, for me, MUCH easier to keep looking brand new, compared to Sand Beige!

I have young kids and light leather has been no issue, a good quality leather cleaner and conditioner a leather brush and 15 minutes once a month and it looks like brand new all the time - black still needs cleaned just as much, but doesn't show the dirt, but it is still there and wearing out your leather!

Use a seat pad. Don't be a "jerk" on that. I've seen seat pads in several high end cars like Bentleys, etc. It's meant to PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT. You'll be happy you did when it's time to sell...

Lol....cheap jeans! FYI...it does it with my $200 designer jeans as well! Having said that...I did suggest crappy jeans right! And quite frankly....no offense...but I've never seen seat pads in any luxury vehicle...Ever....but then again...I don't get out much! I think I'll have to be a seat pad "jerk" and find another solution......maybe I'd consider the wooden bead seat liners....always thought they looked cool!
