2011 X5 35i

Any of you had problems with your backup camera? Mine has this flickering problem with it goes in and out into a blue/yellow screen. It's been at the dealer for a week, they changed the camera and still does it so now they're asking BMWNA for help.

600 miles so far, no problems yet with the back up camera. Keeping my fingers crossed. Speaking of the back up camera, I do not think anyone has one as detailed (with 3D parking guides) as in the X5.

12500 miles today, no problems.

Almost 4000 miles, ZERO problems with the camera, or anything else. First BMW since my 2005 M3, that has been problem free from the start. Really pleased.

The camera in my '11 E70 is awesome, especially compared with the one I had in my '07 and '08 E70. They were awful. I wonder if one complains, if BMW will swap the new camera in one of the older E70s?

Our 2011 Range Rover has the yellow parking guides, and other features the E70 has. I wonder if BMW and Range Rover still share parts or suppliers, even though BMW is long done with Land Rover. I notice so many similarities and even exact parts in both our '11 E70 and '11 Rover.

I absolutely LOVE the backup camera on the X5, it's amazing. We also test drove an Acura MDX and that too and an amazing backup camera with lines and top view for hooking up to a hitch. Don't know if it did the full view around the car like I get with the X5. I can't stop saying it, I love this car! It's 1 month old today and I still grin every time I get in it!

I have a '11 35d and I had the same problem. They replaced a wiring harness with one that had more shielding because it was getting interference. My SA said that there was a service bulletin on it. It was done about a months ago and I haven't had a problem since.

Dealer finally fixed it. They changed the wiring harness from the idrive to the camera. Pick it up tomorrow.
