Driver door handle LED bulb out, Replacement?

Hello guys, I just found out that the led bulb of the driver side door handle is out. It's an e70 x5 4.8, I called BMW dealer and was told they have to take off the door panel and put a new set of light bulb+wires in. 2 hours job+$80 for parts. It sounds very strange, we can't even replace a light bulb these days? It looks like a simple "clip in" job to me, any thoughts? or any one experienced this before? thanks

I dont have an E70 but i do spend a lot of my time on here and do remember a diagram of everything popping up.i believe its in one of 3 locations.1 is a thread labeled "cool and hidden features"(it is most likely there.problem is that thread has 20+ pgs so it might take u a while to find.2 is the how to's section on this site.u might find something under the door panel removal DIY.3.is the LED interior thred but u might not have much luck there
