Front Driver Brake Grind...
The passenger side spins freely, no issues or grinding and stops under its own weight. The driver side however, is definitely grinding and stops (obviously) spinning due to the friction. I believe this is what is causing the whiny sound in the cabin when driving. Ive had this vehicle for about a month now...when i test drove it I acutally did notice some kinda sound but it was much less noticeable and the sales guy just told me he couldnt hear it...what else would he say Before I take it in, anyone know if this is a brake pad issue, or caliper or rotor? (fyi: the service info says brake pads are good to 70k, im at 26k) |

Could be pads, additionally it could be a seized caliper, but not likely at that age. Definitely rotor, since that is what is rubbing on something. Could be a rock stuck in it. Not a good idea to ignore noisy brakes and keep driving on them.
