Need Help with Running Board!
I took my car to a touchless car wash and royally screwed up my running board. On one side, the surface is all white and milky looking. It looks like some white liquid or soap was spilled on it.
I am guessing that the chemicals reacted with the aluminum ![]() Does anyone know how I can clean the aluminum surface and bring back the original color. Thanks. |

Not sure, but you can take the entire aluminum piece off and polish it off. You'll have to take the entire running board off because the aluminum is held in by a screw thats not accessible with the running boards installed.
If you don't take it off, its almost impossible to polish it with the little rubber nubs sticking up
