Question Can someone tell me what this is called ?

I've been trying to track down this emblem and have had no luck.
I'm looking for one with the Bavarian Flag only, and not the dealer BS
attached to it

The shield is an escutcheon.

That isn't the flag of Bavaria, it just has the right colours. The flag is one band of blue, and one band of white.

The shield is part of the Bavaria coat of arms, but it isn't correct. The blue and white diamonds (fusils) should be pointing at the top left corner, not straight up.

Google Bavaria and you will see the correct version.

Any idea where I can get one ? I've googled it and it only looks like stickers are available, but I'm sure I've seen them before.

The term is Coat of Arms.

I mean, why place a bavarian coat of arms on a car build in Spartanburg? Because you think of german roads when you drive???

If you look at the full coat of arms (and not the lesser coat of arms, which is just the shield) it would be more appropriate on a Peugeot, it's even got a similar heraldic lion.

But if you just want a decal, this turned up in a search:

Bavaria Stickers | Bavaria Car Stickers - CafePress UK

Personally, I think the blue and white fusils look like white fishnet stockings on a Smurf.
