Hi all does all the X5 have HID as standard? I want to change my headlight colour, should i buy the full HID kit or just the bulb?

No, not all come with hid as standard, sounds like yours are halogens, the kits aren't too expensive, around £80. I got the focussing ones from carmodshop.com, they have a little focusser to get the beam patter just right.

No, with my kit and most of them it gets round the error issue. Access to the headlights is very tricky so look in the manual to familiarise yourself with the layout. I also used my iPhone camera to check I had the bulb clips back in place correctly. You may fail your MOT, given the new regulations, I've got my mot in July so I'll fine out then! Kept my old bulbs to swap them over in needed..

No these are the h8 and for the with standard xenon from factory units

After 2 years I'm driving with yellow angel eyes and hid that doesn't give me enough light on the low beams. The light just isn't good it flows everywhere think the halogen projectors can't handle the hid xenon bulbs
