Anyone else have a problem like this. Its driving me crazy. it sounds like a bird chirp. im going to the dealer to have it looked at, hopefully they can take care of it and the warranty picks up the tab. this is my first bmw i really enjoy the car but I hope this is fixable |

I have the same problem but the dealer thought I was crazy! Still does it after taking it in twice! Keep me updated!

Do either of you have 3rd row seating?
If so, my 2007 E70 had what you were describing, and a friend of my (beyond OCD with car rattles and squeaks) found it, after spending probably 6-7 hours with my car one Sat. |

Today I took the service guy for a ride and he did hear it so that’s half the battle I guess. I told them I don’t want it back unless they fix it. He did mention that it could be the rear tail gate or the third row but I highly doubt it because if you have the windows up you can’t hear a peep. The sound is so toxic that I start listening for in my other cars. If they cant find then they should start replacing parts such as sway bar, struts, electronic dampener I don’t care as long as the noise stops. Ill flip if they try to tell me to live with it.

Should have driven a tech around, I knew if I didnt point it out that would have been the same problem. Had the guys head out the window and everything. I am OCD when it comes to things that are expensive and dont behave like they should

Had mine in for new rotors/pads (2009 4.8). I mentioned a high pitched squeak over bumps. SA went for a ride with me and heard it. Turned out to be a "worn front sway bar link in the suspension"
Hope that helps. |

I have the same thing. However my warranty runs out in August so I'll be going in for my front brake job (3900 miles left according to iDrive) and I'll mention it then. I suppose it's better to let the problem get worse and then have it fixed right before my full warranty is up. Would CPO cover this sort of thing?
