Is this retrofit available for X6s? Speaking of the backup camera, even the 2010 was terrible. And then it crashed and burned...............oh well....

Since the 2011 and 2012 Cameras are SO great in the E70, have you tried complaining to your dealer and BMWNA & ask them/nicely demand that your crappy camera be replaced with a new one?

Seeing how great the backup camera is in my '11 E70 & remembering how awful my '07 and '08 was...I'd be pissed!

The info BMW released only applies to the E70 X5 and E92/E93 3 series.

Unfortunately, not only did BMW update the camera, they updated the control unit and video multiplexer that goes along with it, to accommodate the additional cameras ... side view. Then there is a software issue between the new multiplexer and the idrive. Alas, its not a straightforward swap.
