Need help with front bumper side markers

Hello,

Has anyone changed the front bumper side markers from the stock amber ones to clear ones. I just bought a pair on e-bay. I am trying to figure out how to change them out.

Any instructions would be great, I am assuming you have to take the wheel well cover off?

Do a quick search...theres a nice write up on how you switch them out. You do it the same way you would replace the fog light bulbs for the most part. Shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes...and no need to go through the wheel well.

what year is your X?

I'm not sure about after facelift, but for prior, you go through the diffuser area (you yank that out by holding the silver part with both hands and pull down slightly, then out). Once that's off you can see the backside of the reflector. From the inside, use a hairdryer to melt the glue that is holding it on all 4 sides (the borders). After a few minutes it should pull off inward pretty easily. Make sure to get all the glue residue off the body of the vehicle before putting the new one on.

Yes. That was it and the pictures used to be there. The directions are still good though!
