BMW Marketing and Engineering Geniuses...LOL
This is an ad about the ALL New & super efficient 2012 650i. This ad is in the current Bon Appetit magazing, First page of the magazine. Showing the instruments of the ALL New 650i. Fuel Gauge shows HALF a tank, yet the Distance to Empty shows 37 miles!!  Great work BMW   Last edited by deutsch100; 07-23-2011 at 06:46 PM.

Maybe it was towing a bus at the time.
 Obviously the gauge readings were PhotoShopped since there's no reason to take the photo at 90 kph.

A lot of pics in brochures and adverts have been Photoshopped for years. Any detailed-oriented person finds them over time.
If you think that's bad, the Ford Focus brochure has the instrument cluster of a Focus diesel in one of their interior shots. They got all the other interior shots right, just for got the picture of the Titanium interior.

eat your heart out diesel guys and gals!
yesterday on the interstate, with 3/5 of the tank full, my 35i is registering 290 mls left. if i was to keep driving like this, i would get 600+ miles with 1 full tank.
