2011 BMW X5 35i Premium Advice

Kids are getting older so more "play dates" with friend, so wife wants something with a 3rd row seat. Found a 2011 BMW X5 35i Premium at the local dealer that was a BMW corporate program car. Will be an upgrade from our 01 4.4i, so it looks as though going from a V8 to a turbo6 will actually net me more hp and torque with better MPG. Specs are:

2011 BMW X5 35i Premium
Best Price: $48,777.00
Exterior: Space Grey Metallic
Interior: Black Nevada Leather
Options:
Cold Weather Package
Convience Package
Comfort Access keyless entry
Running boards
Panormaic moonroof
iPod and USB adapter
Privacy glass
Dark Bamboo wood trim

So am looking for advice/feedback from current owners (likes/dislikes, MPG, etc). Thanks in advance.

What is a "Corporate Program Car"???

Is this just their way of saying "it was a car we got cheap from BMW for teh dealership owner to beat the piss out of"?

Not aware of what 'corporate program' means....

Have you priced this in a 2012 at invoice, with all the incentives applied?

I think "Corporate Program" often means that the vehicle was on a short-term lease program for BMW employees. This car looks pretty loaded to me. 3rd row definitely comes handy for emergency situations and it's small. However, kids seem to like back there.

It may...I was just pointing out that dealers used terms like 'corporate program' and 'executive loaner' as deceptive terms to engender less suspicion on the part of buyers. The legal or corporate construct under which they get the car doesn't matter...what matters is how the car was treated!

It seems rather bare bones to me... I only see a handful of options, and the list isn't coincident with the order options (ie panaoramic sunroof is part of convenience and not a separate option.)

From my understanding it was a program car that was used at the Corporate offices. Hence, Corporate program car, sorry I worded it poorly.

In addition, I guess the only options that are needed as far as I am concerned would be Nav, Heated Steering Wheel and Heated Seats. Haven't looked at it yet, just noticed it on their website and gave them a call since it is the only one in the area I can find with a 3rd row.

So, 3 days and almost 150 views and no feedback from any 35i owners?

I have the 2011 35i Sport Activity and I am very happy with it. I can't say I have any real dislikes about it. I love the way it drives and the handling in sport mode is great. I typically average 16.5 MPG but I always drive in sport and have a heavy foot. The only minor complaint I have is a break screech when stopping at low speeds which my dealership has not been able to resolve after multiple attempts.

I can't offer any insight on the corporate car program.

We bought what was termed at the time a Brass Hat car - our 2006 325i. 9 months old, 9,000 miles. We saved 8K over the msrp buying it. Car hasn't had anything out of the ordinary for service, etc. It was a great deal.

I have a 2012 35i (pretty much the same as 2011). I love the car. Very smooth engine and the 8 speed tranny is great. My only complaint is the rough ride with the run-flat tires. Just note that there is no spare tire option with a 3rd row seat. So far no problems in 4 months/4500 mi. Gas mileage has been 17 city and 22 highway. If I keep it at 70 mph it will get 24 mpg highway.

Thanks ND200, I appreciate the feedback. Signed paperwork yesterday and am picking up early next week. Hopefully it will be a trouble free ownership.
