rear seat entertainment = no iPod integration?

just bought an 08' 4.8 and have it at the dealer to install the iPod glove box adapter. They have had the car for three days and now say because I have the rear seat entertainment that the iPod adapter won't work??

is this true or does anyone have the rear dvd with the adapter?

I have the rear seat entertainment and ipod adapter on my '09. I think that they are feeding you a load of baloney, unless there is something radically different on the '08

Or unless maybe the rear seat entertainment system is not BMW OE and they had to hack something to install it???

no its OEM rear DVD.. It also has CD changer which I understand the iPod adapter takes its place..

I have an '08 with both rear seat entertainment and ipod integration. I don't have the changer, but my ipod connection isn't in the glove box either - it's in the center (arm rest) console.

John, was your ipod integration a factory option or did you add after purchase? so you have the aux & usb in the center arm console?

It was a factory option. Yep - both aux and usb in the center.
