I used the following procedures and no more rattles:
1. see attached adjustment procedure (same as what the BMW techs use ...) 2. after, use copious amounts of a clear, silicone based lubricant, such as Wurtz, or Permatex (as long as it is water resistant) on ALL the friction and contact points. This, more than anything solved the squeeks and rattles. Hope this helps.
