Hi guys -
I have followed this forum when it was still called X5 World ... it is just awesome! ![]() After selling my 2002 X5 3.0i I recently bought a 2008 X5 4.8i ... just an awesome car ... and the sound of the V8 Since the car came with the original 2008 navigation DVD I ordered from the BMW site a new set of 2011 DVD (it's now a set of 2 DVD's). They arrived yesterday and this morning I ejected the old one and plugged in the new one ... but ... the system was only saying "please insert a navigation DVD" ... tried the other one (which is for the east) yielded the same result "please insert a navigation DVD" ... Oh well, drove to the friendly BMW dealer and they assured me that I had ordered the right set. They were not sure if I need a software update since the provider of the map material changed ... Will be back tomorrow at the dealer to get more details ... Do you have any idea about this? Well, the story continues ... left the dealer and drove into the city for lunch and I noticed that my iPhone was no longer available thru bluetooth ... fumbled around with the setting in iDrive and iPhone with no improvement ... still the iPhone was not found although it was still paired ... I tried to delete it in the BMW, but did not work ... Tried to paired it newly, but also unsuccessful ![]() Got to my lunch place, had a great lunch and then returned to my car ... drove off and wanted to program home ... and ... ... now the old 2008 DVD was no longer recognized ... ![]() So, long story short: Can a new navigation DVD brake bluetooth and navigation? Any experiences - anybody? |
