OEM Mods

Here are a few mods on my new E70:

1. BMW OEM wheel locks Model 36 13 6 792 851, 4 x M14 x 1.25 bolts. Requires 17 mm socket and torque wrench to install. Tighten to 140 nM. "Key cap" fits perfectly in storage tray under cargo shelf.

2. BMW nonsmoker ashtray insert. Model 51166954946 Replaces regular ashtray insert.

3. BMW fitted luggage mat. Model 51470444754. Has tall lip all around it to keep water from carpet. There is a used one on ebay right now for $40 that looks like new.

4. Cargo lid lift kit purchased from eBay seller. Search "BMW X5 Cargo Cover Spare Tire Cover Lift Support Kit" Installs in minutes. Holds cargo shelf up.

You mean OE mods, right?

OEM is the manufacturer that made the original OE parts. And the term "OEM" when used for parts should refer to parts made by the OEM but, identical to the OE parts, but not OE labeled. Like Mann airfilters or Mahle pistons, or Bosch O2 sensors, etc, etc.
