PAX5 is on a distinguished road
e70 steering wheel switch cover peeling

2008 e70 4.8i. Standard steering wheel, heated, non sport.

Trying to replace these switch covers myself due to dreaded peeling issue. Dealer won't cover under warranty, citing "wear and tear" item.

1. Anyone have pics on how to remove? Have seen various posts but non that are e70 with standard steering wheel specific. So far I managed to remove one T20 torx screw in back of cover, but the plastic cover won't come loose completely. Seems to be stuck behind airbag. Want to avoid removing airbag if at all possible.

2. Does anyone know what the part number is for just the plastic switch covers, not the complete switch assembly with wiring as shown below. BMWFANS and REALOEM only list the assembly pictured below.

Will probably cover with carbon fiber film once removed ...
