Hello from a newbe

Just used your forum for a bit of research. What a great community!

My wife has a 2007 X5 3.0 and we have been enjoying it for over 4 years.

Runs great!

We thought about trading it in and with the resale value, all we could think of was "why?"

Hi & welcome. Dont trade it unless its for LCI face lift with 8pd box.

you'd be loco to get rid of the X, I did at the begining of the year and couldn't find a suitable replacement & rashly bought an Audi A6 Sline Avant (which I didn't like after a week) so ordered a new X5 and lost a few $ in the process.

What didn't you like about the Avant? That was on my radar when I was shopping around. I sat in a S6 at the dealer and man it was tight in there, like a 3 series.
