Again: The vehicles you're referring to are higher priced than what I paid. Likewise four months have passed and we've entered a new year since when I purchased my X5. I would expect prices to have come down some since then.

With that said I'm not sure what your point is with all of this.
That pricing is not hard to get--I bought mine in L.A. because there weren't any local that I liked. Point is: there are plenty out there for the price you paid.

Again: $40K is not $35K, no matter how you try and spin it. You have yet to demonstrate there are plenty out there at the price I paid, with as low of mileage on my vehicle, and as well optioned. That's not to say there aren't some good deals out there. After all that's what I started with:

"Deals are out there...you'll need to be patient. Best recommendation I can give you is to get to know your market. Keep an eye on the vehicles for sale, what they're configured with, and what is being asked."

The Schomp sale looks to be a good deal. The fact there's another good deal, four months and a new year later, does not mean my deal wasn't good at the time.

The asking price from a dealer or what is online isn't the final price--a $39K car can negotiated easily down. I'm glad you feel you got a good deal--but that price is not any different than normal or special--especially on a non-CPO that a non-BMW dealer might be unloading.

From my earlier post (post #70):

"Schomp is a one price dealer. The price they're asking is the price you'll pay. No negotiations."

Again: You're comparing a price I paid four months (and a new year) ago to a price of today. Perhaps if I were buying my X5 today, as opposed to four months ago, I might be paying $30K for it. Prices go down over time so it's foolish to say what I paid four months ago wasn't a great deal based on price declines since then.

Furthermore the existence of another good deal (you have yet to demonstrate the pricing you're quoting is the norm and not the exception) doesn't mean a previous good deal wasn't. It just means there's another good deal. Which is exactly what I told the OP. Wait and a good deal will come around. Perhaps we've found another good deal. I would certainly consider the Schomp vehicle if I was in the market today. However at the time nothing could touch the price I paid for my vehicle, with the mileage on my vehicle, and as well equipped. Trust me...I looked...and I looked at what Schomp had in their inventory (which wasn't very comprehensive for used).
