The point of posting is to share information with others. Information that is cogent, and complete and allows others to make their own decisions.

If you are so ignorant that you feel tire brand is immaterial and "RFT" designations are the only aspect of tires that define relative quality, then you've proven yourself to be worthy of your namesake.

and thanks guys for pointing out that my comparison between old and new tires is unscientific because it's not humanly possible to compare these tires without time travel. you guys need a hobby.

bottom line is still the bottom line: i disliked the unspecified oem brand run flat tires from the first time i drove the car, continued disliking unspecified oem brand run flat tires for 32k miles, and finally replaced unspecified oem brand run flat tires with firestone non-run flats, which i like better than said unspecified oem brand run flats (sans time machine comparison).

back on topic, i am happy with the firestone tires for the same reasons i stated in earlier posts and would buy them again without hesitation.

unless, of course, i had a time machine...
So we [I] have too much time on our hands because I said the truth? I wasn't attacking you, nor was I really directing the post at you specifically...hence my preface of, "another important point to make, that a lot of people seem to pass over when comparing tires."

You need to not be so defensive and passive-aggressive and imply things without reason.

^fail. the point of this thread, which i started, was to share my experience with the firestone destination st. that's why i entitled the thread "Firestone Destination ST". the brand of rft's that i removed is not relevant to the review of the firestone tire. many folks on this forum have expressed frustration with their respective oem rft's, even though they could be one of several brands. folks interested in moving away from their oem rft to a non-rft don't care if they have the same brand of rft that i did. what they do want, and what this thread offers, is a review of the particular non-rft that replaced the unwanted rft.

not sure why you elected to launch a personal attack on reagan and me but i guess you really are passionate about brand names.
